Daylight gains accelerate across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast as we move closer to the Vernal Equinox on March 20th. This is the time of year when the increase becomes noticeable week to week, with the largest jumps occurring the farther north you go.

We also spring forward early March 8th. Yes, we lose an hour of sleep, but we gain that valuable evening light. Brighter afternoons, a higher sun angle, and a clear signal that the seasonal shift is underway.
