Every day is a new adventure lately.
We wanted to show more of the renovation work that is being done! This is the Library Suite as mentioned in our last post - enter through a hidden door in the library, tons of natural light, and a king size canopy bed await in our vision for the final product. Cleared everything out and removed the old tile floor - new carpet soon.
Our website and booking engine should be launching in April, stay tuned!
We are excited to share more information about our 6 guest rooms coming this summer. Paint and curtain choices aren’t final, so feel free to comment. Which room are you the most excited about?
Big thanks to Straka Quality Construction who has been working tirelessly to help us make our vision for this inn a reality. We can’t wait to see it once the walls and ceilings get the same love.

We've been working behind the scenes for months, and it's finally starting to feel real.
Historic charm, warm design, cozy mornings... and only a few minutes from Notre Dame. That's what we're building.
We are excited to show the progress we've made on the grand staircase in the foyer!

So many places to stay feel rushed, generic, or disconnected. We're excited to create a place that feels rooted - in the town, in the experience, and in the people who stay here.
A place where guests feel like they belong, even if it's just for a few nights.
That's the heart of this project. We're also excited to share our new logo for the Brickhaven Inn.

18 months ago we started thinking about making a change. We didn't expect to make a move so quickly, but one look at this 154 year old Second Empire mansion, and we fell in love. The house stayed on our mind, and restoring it to her past glory and being part of the South Bend community became our dream.
We are so excited for this adventure, and will have lots more to share soon!
What happens when we pull out the decades old faded carpet in the library? We didn’t get as lucky everywhere else, but this floor is perfect! Can’t wait to get rid of the wallpaper and curtains.
