Hi friends!! Summer is in full swing and we’re so happy to have so many new people as well as regulars coming to visit us. we would like a to remind you all however, that we are located in a small neighborhood- and we REALLY care about our neighbors. we hope you can help us stay friendly with them by NEVER parking your car in front of their driveways! we pay the church across the street so we can share their huge parking lot. so there’s really no need to block any of our lovely neighbors drives. if in doubt; ask us! our neighbors will have your car towed if you block their driveway. street parking is welcomed, just please be mindful and check before you leave your car. thank you!

it’s that time of year again! EVENT SEASON!! while we try and limit dinner closures- this weekend we have back to back events. we will be closed tonight fri 5/29 and tomorrow sat 5/30 for private events. we are sorry for any inconvenience caused, but we are open sunday & monday!!

chili pepper rock fish, straight from 🐟 which means we’ll have crudo, agiachili and whole fish on the menu this week! we also got one of the first halibut of the season, fresh out of Monterey bay , so we’ll also have halibut on the menu this week! don’t miss out! make your reservation now!

one aspect that makes HOME special is that we have an in-house butchery program. buys and butchers the whole animal himself. he selects the best and most sustainable farms in our area that raise their animals on 100% grass, outside on pasture. he then uses the entire animal, and creates delicious meals from them. it might surprise you, but it’s actually incredibly uncommon to get a sausage, or ground meat that is sourced from only one single animal. well- we want to celebrate this, and give you, not only the best meat available, but deliver it to you in a creative way. this week we received one lamb from ranch, in marin county. this farm only harvests lamb twice a year, making it even more special. then butchers the animal in house. he makes the sausage first; the chops and loin are cooked to order, then comes the shanks that have been slow braised and the meat just falls off the bone. the thing with only buying one lamb, is that there is limited meat available- with this busy weekend most of it has already gone. but tonight we have the lamb shoulder ragu that has been hand shredded and will be served with a HOMEmade pasta. come get the last of this beautiful animal and celebrate spring with us!

HOMErolled porchetta; wood fired for 3 hours in our outdoor pizza oven, crisped up in the pan to order. the combination of crackling, (crispy skin) succulent fat and juicy meat….. dipped in the asparagus crema, wild mushroom demi and english peas- omg…it seriously is the most perfect bite! 👌

hasn’t the weather been beautiful this weekend? well, we love the sun & when the weather is this nice we open our back patio. we just wanted to share a few bits of info to make your dining experience the best it can be during these spring weeks…..

SO… we take online reservations at resy.com // as you can see from the image, we have 2 seating options- BACK PATIO & DINING ROOM. if you select BACK PATIO- then guess what?? You will be seated on the back patio. we are a very busy restaurant and availability fills up about a week ahead so we will unlikely be able to change YOUR seating preference once you arrive.

if you book back patio- this means you are sitting OUTSIDE. yes, it may have been 80 degrees at the beach, but this is santa cruz, and if your reservation is at 8pm then it’s likely to be colder (and less sunny) by the time you arrive . please come dressed appropriately, we have blankets but if you are sensitive to the cold please book DINING ROOM or bring appropriate comforts (beanie/jacket etc).

we have limited heaters. so they are NOT guaranteed at all tables. we hope you love dining outside as much as we do! we just want you to come prepared so your experience is the best it can be!!
