Oh, hello old friends of Christmases past. I just submitted images for that book I've been meaning to put together for 8 years to the inaugural LensCulture book competition; is this the year it finally gets made?

Meet fiction writer Suzanne Goodwyn! "Wrightsville Beach, my first novel, tries to capture so many of the feelings and experiences I have had throughout the years in Wilmington, while telling the story of two people finding their own paths. It has been a tremendous experience to put all these thoughts down on paper and to imagine a life there if I had it all to do again."

Meet editor and writer SR Crane, absolutely killing it with the velvet jacket and daisy jean vest that immediately transported me to my childhood. Apologies, this is another one I found literally impossible to choose my favorites between color/black & white versions: what do you prefer?

SR's writing explores "queerness, identity, and the fragile power of becoming, centering voices that don’t always get to be heard."

Meet writer Shayne Buchwald-Nickoles, a retired FBI agent who now writes an incredible substack that is "a little funny. A little dark. Usually both." My favorite combo.

Meet author Mary Anne Moisan! Mary Anne is a physical and occupational therapist living and writing in Maine. Narrative medicine is close to her heart as she completes a memoir about her experiences as a caregiver for her husband who had early-onset dementia. Her poem “DNA” (Fall 2021 Intima) was generated in the process of writing her memoir, as was the seed story “We Are Whole” soon to be published in The Examined Life journal.

Meet author Nicole Anderson! Can we get over her INCREDIBLE embroidered dress/tunic/top? I for one can not get over it.

Love it when authors bring that main character energy!

He is the Accessibility Coordinator and Poetry Editor at Foglifter Journal and Press and works as a freelance editor/transcriptionist for the blind.

Meet children's book writer Randolph Cuthbert!

""I first found my voice as a writer in the most magical of audiences: my children and grandchildren. While seeking out creative armor against the everyday, I realized I was forging more than just entertainment; I was weaving stories. This realization blossomed into a dedicated pursuit, and now I channel that love into writing children’s books, creating imaginative and heartfelt narratives designed to be the relatable touchstones that light up a young mind."
