The Casa San Jose is a an orphanage and school for 65-90 children located in Colima, Mexico.
The Casa Connection is a 501(c)(3) that was formed in 2010 in response to a need to increase financial and volunteer support to the Casa San Jose, an orphanage and school located in Colima, Mexico. Children receive a warm bed, three meals a day, schooling in a variety of subjects, vocational training such as learning to bake and access to extracurricular activities like scouting, sports and choir. The Casa Connection directly supports the Casa San Jose through financial and volunteer support.

WHCIS Student Council is asking parents, teachers, caregivers and all concerned adults to endorse this letter which they are ready to mail to the Mayor and the Chief of Police. Please stop by our table tomorrow morning at drop off, at the playground, to sign your name in solidarity. NOTE: The Student Council will decide what next steps they want to pursue once we help them get attention from the authorities. Help us amplify their voice!

Hello Casa Connection supporters! A group of people from First Church Somerville are headed to volunteer at the Casa San Jose later this year. They will be holding a Goods and Services Auction this weekend and next at First Church and are looking for a few more items. We're having a Posada! Please join Casa Connection and some of our Mexican friends for this Mexican Christmas tradition. We will gather in Duhamel Hall to begin with the traditional song that tells the story of Mary and Joseph seeking refuge in Bethlehem in preparation for Jesus's birth. Following this traditional part of the evening, we will eat delicious homemade Mexican food and celebrate with live music from Project Soul! All are welcome! A sliding scale donation will be collected to benefit Casa Connection, Inc. our locally based 501(c)3 organization that supports the Casa Hogar San Jose orphanage in Colima, Mexico.
