Let's get together and make stuff. Please check the map on our website's about page. Do you enjoy making, and building, and general tinkering?

https://www.cambridgehackspace.com/about
We are located at 440R (rear) Somerville ave., the building behind 440 Somerville ave. Awesome, cos so do we. Whether your thing is software, electronics, or knitting, we want to provide a space where you can meet fellow tinkerers and make to your heart's content.

Nice turnout last night. I set up a new laptop with Easel on our Shapeko 2 CNC but the Z-axis wasn't moving well. No surprise--Jonathan to the rescue. When I was a kid I watched the "Andy Griffith Show". There was a character Gomer Pyle. When someone had a problem with their car, without touching it, he would listen for 2 seconds and immediately identify the problem. That's Jonathan. Out of 100 screws on the machine he adjusted two of them an presto--working Z Axis!

N seems to have brought another dead CNC machine back to life.

As many of you know, maintaining our large Laser Cutter is a struggle. Kurt had made great progress. He has designed custom calibration parts to make re-aligning the laser mirrors a snap. Go Kurt!

CLEAN-UP DAY Feb 8th! We had at least a dozen people help throughout the day, and were fueled by coffee and donuts and pizza. Thank you to Jonathan, DC, Nicole, Jahred, Kurt, Max, Aran, Zac, Jenny, Jerry, Julian, and Brian for helping out! There were a lot of people there throughout the day so please do let me know if I missed anyone - Ed

DC and Griffin (and Marshall who walked in soon after) were busy at the hackspace on the last day of 2019. Celebrity James Cromwell came to visit the space!!!! How cool is that? Or it might be an elongated DC at the end of my latest camera gadget. I shot this with my phone through a 150 year old view camera.

Remember, Tuesday nights are meetup nights so come on by! It's free and all are welcome!
