About CT Promotions: CT Promotions has sanctioned Super Late Model and Open Wheel Modified racing events since 2003. The 23rd Annual Kentucky Klassic paid Winfield, TN’s Mike Marlar $3,000 and was the first sanctioned Super Late Model show by the Somerset, KY based sanction group. The group has also hosted the Iron-Man Classic event annually since 2004.

Nathan Stanley Headlines Bluegrass Music Concert on June 16 at The Center for Rural Development’s Cornelia Dozier Cooper Theatre

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (June 10, 2026)—The “Prince of Bluegrass” Nathan Stanley will visit The Center for Rural Development’s Cornelia Dozier Cooper Theatre on Tuesday, June 16 at 7:30 pm. Nathan Stanley is the grandson of Bluegrass Legend Dr. Ralph Stanley. He is also a Dove Award Winner, Grammy Nominee, and ICM Award Winner.
Nathan Stanley will give a tribute to his late grandfather who passed away in 2016. Dr. Ralph Stanley was known for his distinctive singing style and banjo playing. He began playing music in 1946, playing alongside his brother Carter as the Stanley Brothers, and was even the leader of his own band, the Clinch Mountain Boys. Songs like “O Death,” “Man of Constant Sorrow,” “Little Maggie,” “Angel Band,” “Over the Glory Land,” “Mountain Dew,” “Because He Loved Me,” “Rank Stranger” and “Pretty Polly” will be brought back to life on the historical Center Theatre stage for an unforgettable tribute to one of the greatest Bluegrass musicians, Dr. Ralph Stanley.
“I have a lot of roots in Somerset, Kentucky. My grandmother, Jimmie, was from there and I still have a lot of cousins there now. I had the great privilege of performing at The Center for Rural Development multiple times with my papaw, Dr. Ralph Stanley. I’m really excited about bringing my tribute show to him back to The Center.”
The opening act for Nathan Stanley will be local Bluegrass group Rounder’s Station Bluegrass Band featuring Jacob Irvin, playing lead guitar; singer, Carl Vanover on banjo and vocals; Benny Johnson, with the mandolin and vocals; plus Randy Frye on the acoustic bass.
Tickets for Nathan Stanley and Rounder’s Station on Tuesday, June 16 start at just $25 plus fees & taxes. Veteran’s & Active Military members will receive a $5.00 per ticket discount. Tickets can be purchased at The Center’s Box Office Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm, or by calling (606) 677-6000. Online purchases may also be made at www.CenterTech.com . The doors open at 6:00 pm with Rounder’s Station taking the stage at 6:30 pm with headliner Nathan Stanley hitting the stage at 7:30 pm.
