Real life ≠ perfect routines.
Here’s what to do instead:
☀️ Keep mornings + bedtime consistent
✈️ Use a “mini routine” on busy days
😵 Fall back to 1–2 anchors when things go sideways

Summer = more meltdowns? You’re not imagining it.
When school ends, structure can change, and that’s hard for kids who rely on predictability.
More “behavior” = often just:
→ less routine
→ more transitions
→ unclear expectations
The fix isn’t a packed schedule.
It’s structure.

What actually happens during an ABA assessment? A lot of families aren’t sure what to expect, and that uncertainty can make it feel like a big step. We keep it simple and child-centered from the start. Here’s what the process looks like: We take time to get to know you and your child. We observe your child’s current skills and areas of need in a natural, supportive way. We talk with you about your goals, priorities, and what success looks like for your family. That’s it. An assessment isn’t about labeling or pressure, it’s about understanding your child as a whole person so we can build a plan that actually fits their needs and your daily life. If you’re thinking about starting services or just want more information, we’re happy to talk through next steps with you.

Teaching emotional regulation doesn’t have to feel like a lesson.
Some of the best learning happens during play! It's a great way to create safe, low-pressure practice moments to build important skills, and it's something we do everyday!!
