We were brought in early specifically so the steel could be properly supported once the full weight came into play. The result: a dramatic curved canopy that looks effortless because the engineering behind it wasn't.

Some staircases are functional. This one is a centerpiece. A full curved stair with hand-formed iron balusters and a continuous wood rail that had to bend perfectly through every degree of the turn — no two balusters on a job like this are exactly alike.
