Help make a difference at SHS !

The Solon Historical Society is currently seeking dedicated volunteers to join us, and our new Museum Director Heather DiAlfredi, in our mission to preserve, protect, and share the rich heritage of our community. As we continue to build out new exhibits, organize collections, and maintain our historic site, your time and talent can make a direct impact.

Whether you're interested in hands-on collections work, greeting visitors, assisting with events, or helping behind the scenes with archival or digital tasks, there's a place for you here.

We’re especially looking for help with:

- Collections and storage organization (including environmental monitoring and mold-safe handling)
- Cataloging, data entry, and document scanning
- Light maintenance and space prep

Volunteers will receive orientation and training, and we are committed to creating a respectful, welcoming environment for all who serve. Flexible scheduling is available.

If interested, contact Dr. Heather DiAlfredi, museum director, at [email protected], or join us for our first Collections Committee meeting this Saturday, November 1st at 10:30 at the SHS museum. Hope to see you there!
