The Solon Italian Club Foundation, with big help from the Solon Benevolent Fund, once again carried out a successful (and fruitful!) Reverse Raffle Dinner Dance fundraiser held at the beautiful Emidio & Sons Banquet Center.
A huge thank you to Tom Romeo, Brett Neff, Diane Immonen, and everyone who made this event possible, including all SIC and SBF volunteers who gave their time and energy. Special appreciation to those who donated baskets and door prizes - their generosity added an extra layer excitement and helped make the event even more memorable!
During the evening, we also announced the recipient of our 2026 Anthony Bancale Man of the Year Award, Salvatore A. Merolla (Sam Merolla, Sal, etc.)! Thank you for your unselfish devotion and service to the Solon Italian Club!
One of our favorites events of the year - here’s to what we accomplished together and to even greater things ahead!
The Solon Italian Club’s annual sausage-making tradition is alive and well 🇮🇹
Chaired by Don DeRoia, 37 members rolled up their sleeves, each preparing 10 pounds of pork butt from Raddell's Sausage Shop, seasoned just the way they like it. Big thanks to Bob Yodice for keeping the operation running smoothly and Angelo Carcioppolo, Anthony D’Angelo, and Joe DiFranco for helping man the stuffers!
Between turns, members enjoyed pizza from Jim Alesci's Place and plenty of homemade wine, because what’s sausage-making without a little celebration? 🍷

The Solon Italian Club held its 41st annual Easter Egg Hunt for the city of Solon. Once again chaired by Bob Yodice, the event went off without a hitch and the kids had a blast! The weather (and parents) even cooperated!
Bob had help from countless volunteers from the club who stuffed ~10,000 eggs to prepare for the event, plus those on the field during the hunt. A few special guests showed up as well - the Easter Bunny (Jason Vespucci) and Elmo (Angelo Carcioppolo)!
Additional appreciation goes out to the Solon girls softball team, City of Solon, Ohio Police Department Government and Solon Fire Rescue!
A special thanks to all the residents who brought canned good donations!
