A huge congratulations to this year’s 2026 Solon Italian Club Bocce League Champions:

🏆 Ultimate Bocce 🏆
Mike Frangiamore
Sal Frangiamore
Joe Vescera
Rod Strata
Matt Pytlik

What an exciting finish to another fantastic bocce season!

Team Buona Amici faced off against Ultimate Bocce in the championship matches. The first game didn’t go their way, with Ultimate Bocce taking an 11–0 victory. But the second game was an absolute nail-biter! 🎯

Every throw mattered as the match came down to the very end. In an exciting finish, Ultimate Bocce pulled out an incredibly close 11–10 win to claim the championship title! 🏆

Congratulations to both teams on an exciting championship!

Following the matches, everyone enjoyed a great evening of mingling, delicious VFW food, pizza, pasta salad, and desserts. It was a wonderful way to celebrate another season together!

A sincere thank-you to everyone who played, supported the league, and helped support the Aurora VFW throughout the season. Your participation and enthusiasm made this another great year of bocce!

It’s not too late to join the VFW!

Some players are also planning to get together for games on Tuesdays this fall, so feel free to come up, watch some bocce, enjoy a drink, grab something to eat, and join in the fun!

Thank you to Carl Pannetti for another wonderful year as Commissioner and a very special THANK YOU to Mike Frangiamore for doing a fantastic job keeping track of all the scores and standings throughout the season. We appreciate all your hard work!

Congratulations again to the 2026 Solon Italian Club Bocce League Champions - Ultimate Bocce! 🏆🇮🇹

⛳🇮🇹 Solon Italian Club Foundation Golf Outing Recap! 🇮🇹⛳

What a fantastic day we had at the Solon Italian Club Foundation Golf Outing at Grantwood Friday, July 31st! We want to extend a huge GRAZIE to everyone who helped make the outing such a fun and successful event.

A special thank you to Brett Neff for chairing the outing and putting in the time and effort to make the day a success. Thank you to Tom Romeo for securing our hole sponsors, memorial signs, our main sponsor, Terrace Construction, and making sure the operation ran smoothly.

A big shout-out to Mike Rhea, Rich Alaimo, and the entire kitchen crew for keeping everyone well-fed and happy. We also appreciate all of the Solon Italian Club members who volunteered their time to help throughout the day.

Most importantly, THANK YOU to all of our golfers! Your participation, enthusiasm, and generosity made for a great day of golf, fellowship, food, and fun. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our members, golfers, sponsors, and supporters, the funds raised through our raffles, 50/50, and booze barrel will go directly toward the Solon Italian Club Foundation’s scholarship fund and other community giving initiatives. Your support helps us give back to our community and invest in the next generation.

We are grateful for everyone who played a part in making this outing a success. Until next year - salute and grazie mille! 🍷🏌️‍♂️🇮🇹

We often talk about the Solon Italian Club Foundation* and the scholarships we’re proud to award each year, but that’s only part of our story.

Our Foundation is dedicated to giving back to surrounding communities in many ways, supporting charitable initiatives and making a positive impact beyond investing in students’ futures.

To learn more about the Foundation’s mission, the work they’re doing, the people behind it, and the impact they’re making, we invite you to visit the Foundation’s website (link in the comments).

Thank you to everyone who supports the Solon Italian Club and the Solon Italian Club Foundation - and those who help us continue serving our community. 🇮🇹❤️
