This brave young women took the difficult step in heading out on her own to find a safe place for her and her baby to be. After leaving an unhealthy relationship, she found that she had no support and nowhere to turn. While it was the right decision, it was not an east one. She has been committed to finding stable housing and continuing her education so she can build a strong foundation for her little family.

This remarkable young mother set her sights on becoming a lawyer. And she will not give up on her dreams. She is doing it all: school, work and a single mom. 💪 A real super-woman.

Her persistance has been inspired by giving her daughter a wonderful uprbinging and a comfortable life. She can stand proudly as a shining example of accomplishing your dreams and never giving up on yourself. 🌟

All of our Day of Joy teams are a dream to work with, but this was a special one.

We don't often get to install a home that our client owns, but this amazing team from Legrand was able to fully install all of the furniture that this mom will need to make her forever home truly feel like her own. We had an absolute blast from start to finish with this group. We shared countless laughs while putting together the perfect space for a family of 6. There is something extra special about organizations that prioritize giving back to the community and we get the benefit of seeing first hand how that resonates with the team.

On Friday we had the pleasure of working with a 72 year old gentleman who had been merely getting by with "just enough." While he had a minimalist mentality, sleeping on an air mattress and eati dinner on a salvaged gaming chair at his age was starting to take a toll.

We wanted to honor his preferences of keeping things simple and functional - which is essential to making a space feel like a home. Every client we meet has a different dream for their home and every space we curate reflects just that. A home that is built for the individual. A home that is a celebration of how far they have come.

Landing in a home in any capacity is a massive accomplishment.

While most of the clients we serve are renters, on Thursday we were astonished to meet a mom and her 5 children who recently purchased a home after a year of housing instability. They previously bounced from hotel rooms to the sofas of friends who were willing to let the spend a few nights at their home. Mom was determined to find the stability her family once had and set forward with her faith to make it happen.

A HUGE congratulations to this new home owner! 🎉🙌 We are so grateful to help you start this new chapter in your story.
