It has been a long while since our last post. We currently are quite busy.
We have multiple developments in the works and some finishing up.
We have also taken over a few projects where the homeowner has been lied to by a contractor and are now in violation.
It’s a true shame that there are contractors out there taking advantage.
Laws are changing and if you are caught it now is a misdemeanor crime with up to 90 days jail time and a minimum of $1,000.00 fine.

We here at NuttyCAD want to wish you and yours a truly wonderful Thanksgiving and start to a wonderful Holiday Season.
We wouldn’t be here without y’all! Your projects have brought challenges, smiles, each a learning experience but most of all every project has created a friendship that we are so grateful for.
We encourage everyone to reach out to that loved one we haven’t talked to in a while or have had hurt feelings for and make sure they are doing well.
This is the season of giving so we also challenge y’all to give anyway you can whether that be time, say at your local food bank or donate complete meals to a family with bare cupboards or through your local meals on wheels.
We have taught or boys that we should ALL turn a good deed each day. Our attitude and character is contagious and does influence those around us.
Laugh often, smile always and say I Love You to your family every day!

Happy Happy 4th of this July 2021! This summer has been a hot one. Both in temperature and project volume. We have been truly blessed with such wonderful and patient clients.
Our contractors have been wonderful and very helpful in being creative to help our clients work through the inflated lumber and labor markets of late.
Some projects updates:
Manor Way Estates•
Lots 1-3 are framed out. Lots 4-6 have slabs poured with framing started on lot 4. Lots 8-9 are soon to be permitted and lot 7 will be in for permit next week.

Whitaker Plat•
Lots 1-9 are in for engineering while I finish up their Submittal plans sets.
Viego 5-plex Townhomes•
Civil is done and preliminary unit designs are done.
We currently have 20 projects in for permit but with King County being out 6-months and Snohomish Health losing half their review staff and at 16-22 weeks out, we dont anticipate any new starts for awhile.
We also have another 48 projects currently in the que at all stages of completion.
Like most of my engineering support we are running about 7-8 weeks out on project starts.

Also, want to let everyone know our projects are as far south as Olympia, north as Concrete, east as East Wenatchee and West as Everett.
Most years we have a few dozen projects in the Cle Elum area and this year we don’t but do have 1 in East Wenatchee; 1 in Orondo; and 1 Northeast of Chelan.
I will also be working on our own cabin on Badger Mountain and small winter oasis in Wickenberg, Arizona.
Welcome to the new year y’all. Looks and feels like the momentum from last year is going to continue.
Looks like we were successful with our rezone for the Gibson Road Estates project in South Everett. This is going to be a smaller 4-unit detached single family residence development with Evergreen Contracting.
We have also finished and submitted for permit 6 of the 9 homes for the Manor Way development. This is the first with Evergreen Contracting were Evergreen is both the owner and developer.
Towards the end of last year we signed up yet another 9-unit development West of Martha Lake. We are getting started on the first few lots yet this month.
After updating the open projects as well as the in for permit job boards we currently have 32 projects in all different stages of design. They range from timber deck roofs to new residences. They are from as far South as Shelton, North as Skagit Valley (Burlington), West as West Seattle and East as Roslyn with a bid for a new house just outside of Hayden Idaho.
We also currently have 18 projects in for permit.

I will try to get our project posts and drawings updated.
Also, looking forward we are going to put together a line of Tiny Homes designs for online sale. Foundation set DADUs with city of Seattle’s approval to turn them into and add them to their “Standard Pre-Approved Plans Catalog” then the trailer mounted units will be sorted and sold by length and type of trailer.
Finally we are currently looking for a good website designer for us to both market NuttyCAD and our plans sets for sale.
Happy Fall to all! Yesterday was a truly busy day. We got the contract on another 9 house development in the Silverlake neighborhood.
This is the second 9 unit development that we have this year through our good friends at Evergreen Contracting.
This development is a short plat so each home is on its own tax lot, where as the other 9 unit and the (2) 4 unit developments in Mukilteo and Everett are multiple units on a single tax lot.
The past couple of weeks have also been quite blessed. We also picked up an 11 unit townhome project, 2 decks, 2 large timber patio roofs, 2 new waterfront homes, one just outside of Olympia and the other in the Tulalip Potlatch Beach area.
It’s gonna be another busy Fall and Winter! so bundle up and keep the rain gear close by.
