Behold the many wonders of the internet!

Sometimes I forget all the many things I’ve created over the years. The many hats I wore and wear. All while raising four kiddos.

Hear that sound? That’s me tooting my own horn.

Years ago I created, installed and collected this very simple school supply reclamation system for . I installed it in many schools in Austin and collected thousands of pounds of useable school supplies.

Ideally the schools would do this and then reuse the next year but we really are stuck on this system of buying new each year.

But it did at least keep thousands of pounds of usable materials from going in the landfill.

When considering end of school year and back to school, consider reuse. Please.

Here are two small paintings I saw in . Both are from the 1400s.

The first one shows monks praying over the soul of a miser for whom they predicted damnation.

The second one shows a miracle being performed wherein 90 prisoners are freed from a debtors prison.

These both feel still relevant in regards to the conversation about taxing billionaires. The rich Paying fair wages. And the need for those with medical debt needing help from things like go f@ me.

600 years of misers and money hoarders and punishing the poor feels like way too long.
