Pretty flowers for attention! 🌿☠️ Keep your eyes on the trail while looking for wild Lady Slippers this season! These magical native orchids are blooming — but so is poison ivy. ⚠️

Remember: “leaves of three, let it be!”. Don’t wander off the paths or reach blindly into the undergrowth. Familiarize yourselves with other itchy plants like Poison Oak and Poison Sumac. Poison ivy can twirl around the trees, line the paths and hide amongst the beauty. Plus, Lady Slippers themselves are delicate and protected in our area, so give them some space. Never pick them.

Look, admire, photograph — but tread lightly! Nature’s treasures are best enjoyed without the itchy souvenir. 🌿📸
