Open Arms Community Center

On Ash Wednesday, February 18th, between 5:00 and 8:00 pm, visit Open Arms Church for a Lenten Path experience. Participants are invited to walk through a series of stations designed for quiet reflection and
prayer, helping prepare hearts and minds for the season of Lent. You may come at any time during the evening and move through the path at
your own pace, staying as long as you wish.

School is closed on Thursday, October 2nd and Friday, October 3rd, but OACC is open with a fun Fall Fest Camp. Our camps are open to children ages 5 to 13. Program hours are 9:00 to 4:00 pm with FREE extended care starting at 7:30 am and closing at 6:30 pm. All activities and field trips are included. Breakfast, lunch, and snack are also FREE!

We have lots of fun activities planned for Fall Fest Camp including field trips to John Slidell Park and a Picnic with the Goats at Cajun Corral Farm in Pearl River. Camp is filling up quickly. Register now at oaccslidell.org.

We are excited to celebrate Staff Appreciation next week, July 28th - August 1st. We would love your help in making it extra special for the incredible team that cares for and inspires your children each day!

Our camp is blessed with a dedicated staff of 40 team members who bring energy, enthusiasm, and heart to everything they do. From keeping your children safe to creating memorable summer experiences, they truly go above and beyond.

We invite you to bless our staff with tokens of appreciation throughout the week. Some thoughtful ideas include:

Individually packaged snacks or sweet treats
Catered or delivered lunch items
Gift cards (for coffee shops, fast food, Amazon, Walmart, or general use)
Handwritten thank-you notes from you or your child

Items can be dropped off at the camp office or delivered throughout the week. If you're planning something specific or have questions, feel free to contact us so we can coordinate and ensure every staff member feels the love!
