Hello Everyone! A little (BIG) update!
I will be opening a dessert shop right here in Slidell! YAY!
My last update let you know that I'm in coaching school, and I still am and its going great, but I will be there for a while and desperately need a creative outlet and community outside of a computer screen. Sheila from That Cheese Chick and I decided to collaborate and operate our businesses from the same space @ 224 Freamaux Ave. I will be creating my beautiful, wonderful desserts like I had on the snowball trailer, in addition to coffee and gourmet cheesecakes, including many sugar-free options. (Unfortunately, I will not be serving snowballs- there isn't any room for it, but we will have snowball based flavored desserts) That Cheese Chick will serve CRAZY ooey gooey delicious gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches & her infamous charcuterie boards!

Maybe this can help you through a tough time.
A couple of nights ago Ethan’s sugar was so high for days upon days for no apparent reason. His highest reading was 585 and he didn’t eat anything since breakfast. Pump and site was changed a few times, so no problem there. He was in pain and just exhausted. He was getting weary and tired, questions like, “why me?” and in anger proceeded to give me statistics of his chance of getting diabetes.

I went into the next room as a completely helpless mom, I was balling crying out to God and told Him my hands are tied behind my back, there’s literally NOTHING more that I can do for him. In a quiet voice I heard him say, “do communion” and without hesitation I got up grabbed a shot glass, poured apple juice and grabbed a tortilla chip. I was alone. I sat at the living room coffee table and proceeded with communion, vividly remembering what Jesus did for us on the cross and why he did it, I took the juice and thought about the pain he went through and the shed blood of Jesus. I was crying bc of the whole experience and feeling the loss of total control for my child (he turned 18 on December 10.) Suddenly, I hear a scripture that I literally haven’t heard in years. It’s Isiah 26:3 He will keep in perfect peace whose eyes are steadfast on you, because they trust in you. It took me about 15 seconds to realize that the Holy Spirit literally just gave me a promise. I looked up the message version and it said: people whose mind that are set on you, you will keep completely whole, steady on their feet because they keep at it and don’t quit. I was like WHOA because a prayer of mine has been that Ethan will be completely whole, not one of his organs, bodily systems, or limbs will be lost, but that he will be completely whole as a living testimony to God’s greatness.

We still had obstacles after I received the scriptures, but I latched onto that promise and refused to be moved by what was going on. God kept us in perfect peace. Ethan’s demeanor changed too, he was relaxed with an evident peace.

I say all of this to encourage you. Everything around you may look discouraging, but that promise is for you too. Take hold of it and remind yourself and God of his promise as your faith is challenged, and faith will start to naturally and powerfully build within you. Answers will come. Peace will come. This is truly the good fight of faith bc everything will tell you it’s not working, but continue to trust even as you shake from within. God said he will never put to shame those who truly trust in Him. I have many testimonies like this and he has never ever failed us. 💛💛

Many of us speak and live from our default system. We can’t give what we haven’t been delivered from.

If we do not intentionally seek inner healing then we will relate, speak, teach, preach & give advice from that broken system.

Many of us are walking around TRYING to be compassionate and empathetic, but it’s impossible to give from an empty vessel. We haven’t taken the steps to seek our own inner healing (getting over the stuff that happened to us in the past) so we put on this facade that everything is okay & it really isn’t. We’re trying to fulfill our role in life & church but as the years go on it gets harder and harder.
We desperately need true inner healing so we are emotionally, spiritually and physically present to actually authentically help people.
