She's a WWII Crash boat. Skinned in Mahogany and decked in teak. Picked her up after she almost sank If all goes well, I plan on retiring on her. Wish me luck!

I bought her in Spring 2012 and she had almost sunk, twice, and I had never set foot on her deck! I plan to bring her back to life using materials from the period and source them locally if possible. Using traditional building methods, she will shine again one day! Spend the Summers in Alaska and the Winters down South. At 63' long and a gross of 57 ton and net 39 ton, she's a handful. What the future holds for the SS. This is a classy bathroom!

Pursuant to the recent "Altair lust" activity here on FB, here is a shot of Altair's interior - a single starboard cabin to be precise. And guess what? She is actually for sale, listed with Barney Sandeman at a price that's so comically out of reach we can't bear to write it out (OK... £6M)

Thanks for the pictures Alexander! Good to see she's still on the right side of the water.

Well said.

"I prefer maritime laws over laws on land. Maritime laws only exist to guarantee safe passage. There are no loopholes or biases to favor more powerful vessels. Every ship is equal, and no one is more powerful than the sea."
