It’s been a rough couple of weeks. But I am grateful that there are pretty colors starting to appear out of the melting snow and look forward to the Spring to come 🌸🌼🌿

Been a bit MIA on here the past week or so. My life is changing a lot right now. I got a new jawb, which is going to turn into a fruitful career with some time and dedication!

I will share what I am doing soon, but for now it’s been nice settling in and taking a break from making content all the time.

I’ve been saying for a while now, that I need to balance my video making career with a stable job so that I can have fun with video creation rather than feeling so much pressure to make it mega successful and being afraid that I could loose it all by not being perfect.

I have a goal to one day own a homestead of my own, build treehouses on my rain forest property, buy a sailboat, maybe have a family of my own, and continue to travel/adventure all over the world.

I’m taking the time to let go of an era of my life that was honestly so magical. I will never regret taking four years of my life to create with reckless passion and go where my heart wanted because I wanted it. Even though it often felt like a chaotic dumpster fire of the highest highs and the lowest lows.

We grow and evolve as humans and I think I will look back on those years with nostalgia forever, but I’m so grateful to be moving forward onward and upward to fulfilling more life goals of mine. I’ve just realized that nothing can stay the same forever if you want to keep growing and it’s okay to switch things up a bit to live life in a way that better suits you💓

Sometimes the conditions are just perfect for ice skating!I was so afraid the ice would crack and I’d fall in, but my new friend Steph assured me that it was safe by explaining how you can see how thick the ice is by seeing where bubbles, sticks and leaves have frozen.

Apparently you can drive a truck on ice that is only 4 inches thick!!! This ice was at least eight! What a cool experience and I definitely need to buy some ice skates now!

A new video is up! I’ve been checking off some pretty important skills to learn if you want to live in the woods.

When we started this project two Summers ago, I was seriously just so overwhelmed by sharing the process online. There were so many people watching and supporting at that point. But with that came many people giving advice on what to do left and right and there was just SO much doubt about what we were capable of. I hate to admit it but it sort of stopped me in my tracks for a while and it really got to me. I was even thinking about giving up the project all together.

Though it’s taken me some time to gain my confidence in myself again and to get grounded in who I am so any doubts or mean comments don’t get to me, I’m sharing again. I think it’s important to document this experience for myself and for others like me.

The one main lesson I learned from the overwhelm is that you can’t look at a big project like this in it’s entirety every single day. You have to break it down into pieces while remembering what the essence of the end goal is. This has helped TREMENDOUSLY. I want to experience the joy of learning and building something from the ground up. That is what I am hoping to document on my channel in the years to come!

Day 1 of my journey! Okay tbh I think bushcraft is just a fancy name to trick you into learning survival skills. I think it’s such a great way to get outside and do something that is so obviously ingrained in our human DNA.

We(me and William 😂) built a simple shelter using a tarp, some cheap paracord like stuff, knife, and a saw!

Man I live for this stuff 😂🙃 Next up is some firecraft!

Bushcrafting on the beautiful lands of the Łingit!

Fall is here in the North! Though I’m sad to see Summer go I’m also reveling in reflection at what this past Summer was for me.

I had to learn how to advocate for myself in the fishing world, got my heartbroken, went on an ~3000 mile journey across Canada alone, moved into my first studio by myself, and climbed a mountain or two in the Jeep and by foot.

Fall is a time when we all get to slow down a bit, enjoy some rain, and begin thinking about how we want to spend our Winter. It’s one of my absolute favorite times of year because you can feel a change in yourself and in the weather simultaneously.

Thanks for sponsoring another post! My last nice rain coat got soiled in all of the Summer fishing shenanigans I put it through so it’s nice to have a more laid back running around town or going off roading raincoat to keep me dry through the endless October rains of SE Alaska.
