Three spots left!
Women mariners, join us! Our all-women's Wilderness Mariner Course heads to the Alaska Peninsula, Katmai, and Kodiak — one of the most beautiful and remote coastlines on Earth, shaped by volcanoes and glaciers.
Our 12-day (Sept 16-27), Wilderness Mariner Course is a rare, hands-on opportunity to strengthen skills: anchoring, piloting, navigation, watchstanding and boat systems- while watching whales, bears and northern lights. With only eight students there's plenty of time at the helm.

Anyone out there want to JOIN US FOR A DINOSAUR TRACK TREK THIS SEPTEMBER 1-12? I’m not kidding — We just had a cancellation so we have one bunk left. Endeavour is taking a group of researchers and citizen scientist/life learners (a.k.a. Paleo Dino nerds) down the Alaska Peninsula with Alaskan dinosaur paleontologist/author Tony Filorillo. More information at AlaskaEndeavour.org/expeditions.
In addition to digging for dinosaur tracks, we will be taking in unbelievable landscape – glaciers, volcanoes, Katmai brown bear, whales and northern lights. Our expeditions have a reputation of offering as much learning as they do fun. Plus, I hear the food is good.; seriously, please help us send the word out to interested folks. The kind who’s to be fun to be on a boat for 12 days with. Thx ! 🦕⛴️

In case you missed Capt Kelsey’s reel from our Wilderness Mariner Course up the Inside Passage last week. What a great group! — well seasoned, salty sailors who know how to balance the fun and learning ratio. We did a lot of both.
This autumn there could be even more of each — as we explore the remote coast of the Alaska Peninsula and Kodiak in both all women’s and coed trips. Think hands on helm time around glaciers, volcanoes, Katmai brown bear and northern lights. Trip of a lifetime. And last berths available in each. AlaskaEndeavour.org/expeditions
That wonderful mix of feeling both —excited about having started the season with now two awesome groups; and totally at peace and comfortable, like we are back - in the saddle, at home. I can’t help but think the world would be a better place if living outside, as close as possible to the natural, real world was the norm, not the exception; wouldn’t it make us all happier, healthier people? It feels so good to have as little as possible between us and the planet. And giving people the opportunity to study it and learn from it feels like a good thing.

MONITORING GLACIERS - VISUALIZING CLIMATE CHANGE -PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND ALASKA
We all hear about climate change. In headlines. In conversations. But it’s very different thing to standing in front of a glacier that has reshaped itself within a single lifetime. Imagine the perspective of experiencing 30 of them.
Two last berths are still ope on our July glacier study expedition in Alaska’s Prince William Sound — working with leading glaciologist and author Dr Bruce Molnia, whose decades of research in Alaska bring both context and depth to what you’re seeing day to day, documenting the status of over 30 glaciers,
This 12-day expedition and course is open to ages 18–85, for college credit, and non-credit, life learners, alike. No prior field experience required—just curiosity and a willingness to engage.
If you’ve ever wanted to move beyond reading about climate change and actually witness firsthand what it means:
Join us! https://www.alaskaendeavour.org/260701-glaciers
Come see for yourself—and take part in the work, observing glacier retreat, historical, and contemporary status comparisons, reading the landscape, and contributing to ongoing science. Oh, did we mention the fun part? Like living aboard Endeavour with scientists and crew in one of the most beautiful virtually untouched regions of the world… Each happy testimonials on our site is real. Our researchers and students come back year after year for more.

260701 Glaciers PWS | Alaska Endeavour Join this expedition led by Dr. Bruce Molnia, an expert on Alaska glaciers and author of more than 500 publications, including the monumental 550-page Alaska ‘chapter’ of The Satellite Image Atlas of The Glaciers of the World.
You can join us for our glacial research expedition in Prince William Sound this July 1-12. Do more than witness — experience glaciers, the research, the reality of glaciers, their history and future, aboard Endeavour.
