Yesterday we reshingled a steep roof on a hot day

While reshingling this house in Sioux Falls this week, we discovered that all of the plywood was delaminated and needed to be replaced. The bad plywood was caused by 3 bathroom fans that were just vented into the attic instead of going out through the roof, as well as a broken pipe in the attic. That combined with poor roof intake ventilation caused the plywood to rapidly go bad. Everything is vented properly now.

Be sure when reroofing your home, to make sure that all of these items are checked. Proper ventilation is key for the life of your roof!
