✨ Bunkhouse Update… Moving Day is TOMORROW! ✨

Tomorrow at 10:00 AM, our bunkhouse finally makes its journey home!

We’re hitting so many incredible milestones without even trying. The concrete was poured on Josh’s birthday, and now the bunkhouse is being delivered on our 9th wedding anniversary. When we say God is in the details, we truly believe it.

So much of this journey has been doing the work that no one really notices. No one walks onto a property and says, “Wow… that dirt work is beautiful!” or “That concrete is stunning!” But those unseen things are what hold everything else together.

That’s what Josh and I want our lives to be about—building strong foundations. Strong marriages. Strong relationships. Strong families. The things that last.

Our dream is to host our very first marriage retreat this fall. We still have a few things to finish—bunk beds, mattresses, a mini fridge, countertops, furnishings—but we’re not worried.

We know it will all come together… in His perfect timing. ❤️

Thank you for cheering us on and believing in this dream with us. We can’t wait to welcome people into a place where lives are strengthened from the inside out. Degaje Studios Brandon Valley Highschool Brady Olsen Jarrod Smart Construction

Too often we get distracted by the people in situations that trigger our insecurities, and we never consider what our insecurities are telling us about our souls.

Life has been moving at such a fast pace that moments like these feel even more meaningful.

We were so grateful to welcome the amazing group from Church of the Risen Savior From Brandon for a summer serve project here on the farm. They jumped in with willing hands, joyful hearts, and a servant’s spirit.

One of our favorite parts was introducing them to the animals. For many, it was their very first time petting a horse—and we never take those firsts for granted. There is something so special about watching curiosity turn into confidence and connection.

We truly love this community and the way the next generation is choosing to serve. Thank you for giving your time, your energy, and your hearts. You made a difference, and we are so thankful you spent part of your summer with us for the last 3yrs.

Happy Birthday to the man behind so much of what you see at 605 Roots. 🤍

Most people see the arena, the horses, the events, the coaching, and the dreams coming to life.

What they don’t always see is the man quietly making so much of it possible.

Josh is the biggest donor to 605 Roots—not just financially, but with his time, his strength, his wisdom, his laughter, and his heart. He’s the manpower behind countless projects, the one who shows up without needing recognition, and the steady presence that reminds us why we’re doing this in the first place.

He has this incredible way of making people feel seen. He believes every person has God-given purpose and gifts waiting to be uncovered, and he genuinely loves helping people discover them. His passion for Scripture isn’t just in knowing it—it’s in living it and helping others apply it to everyday life.

He also has a level of sarcasm that should probably be considered a spiritual gift. 😂 And if you’ve ever shared a meal with him, you’ve probably heard him say, “Hot dogs are merely a vessel for your supper.”

That’s

He’s the joy in the room.
He’s the calm in the chaos.
He’s the wisdom when we need direction.
He’s the strength when the work is hard.

Half of his time is spent here, and half is spent working in North Dakota, making sacrifices most people will never fully understand. But whether he’s home or away, his heart is always invested in this family, this ministry, and the people God has entrusted to us.

Babe, thank you for believing in this dream before anyone else did. Thank you for carrying the heavy things, for cheering me on, for loving our family so fiercely, and for reminding all of us that the best ministry often happens in the ordinary moments.

You are deeply loved.
Deeply respected.
Deeply appreciated.

Happy Birthday to the man who helps so many people find their footing—and who has been such a steady foundation for ours.

We love you more than words can say. ❤️

If you could be an expert at one thing what would it be?

I don’t know how you do everything you do.”

I hear that a lot.

The truth is… it’s not about doing more.

It’s about becoming.

At some point, I stopped asking, “How can I get more done?” and started asking, “Who am I becoming?”

I’ve become intentional with my thoughts, my energy, my relationships, and the rhythms that bring joy and peace into my life. Because what we intentionally create today becomes the life we live tomorrow.

A dear friend once told me,

“If Satan can’t make you bad, he’ll make you busy.”

That has never left me.

So let me ask you…

What are you busy creating?

Is your schedule producing fruit?

More love.
More joy.
More peace.
More patience.
More purpose.

Or is it simply keeping you distracted?

Our thoughts shape our focus.
Our focus shapes our choices.
Our choices become our habits.
Our habits shape our character.

And our character shapes our life.

So maybe the better question isn’t, “How do I get it all done?”

Maybe it’s…

“Who am I becoming?”

Because at the end of the day, God is far more interested in who you’re becoming than everything you’re accomplishing.

🌱 Create a life that bears fruit—not just a calendar that’s full.

What I love is that our brains were actually designed for moments like this.

When we slow down enough to watch the sunrise, listen to birds, or simply stand beside a horse, our nervous system begins to shift. Stress hormones like cortisol start to decrease while the parasympathetic nervous system—our “rest and restore” system—takes over. Our breathing deepens, our heart rate slows, and the thinking part of our brain has a chance to come back online.

Sometimes healing isn’t found in doing more.

Sometimes it’s found in standing still long enough to remember who you are.

Nature has a remarkable way of reminding us that growth doesn’t have to be loud. Every sunrise whispers, “You get another chance today.”

Here’s your reminder:
Take a deep breath.
Step outside.
Watch the sky.
Pet your horse.
Let your brain and your heart catch up with each other.

You might be surprised by how much clarity can grow in the quiet.

❤️ Jenny

Sometimes God doesn’t just answer our prayers… He restores pieces of our hearts we didn’t even realize we’d been missing. Today, Josh threw his leg over his own horse for the first time in 13 years. As he settled into the saddle,
I watched something wash over him. There was a quiet tenderness in the moment as he reached down and gave her a gentle pat. It wasn’t just affection for a horse—it was gratitude, hope, years of waiting, and the beginning of a new chapter all wrapped into one simple gesture.

I’m so thankful I happened to catch that moment. ❤️

Congratulations, babe. I can’t wait to watch the journey you two take together.

🐴 We’d love to hear your story…

Do you remember the first time you got a horse of your own? What did that moment mean to you? Share your story below—we’d love to celebrate those memories with you. ❤️
