Hand shaped surfboards by Mako Kizuka. Sometime back in the mid 80s after the first time I went surfing I was hooked. I “shaped” my first board. Thanks Mike D!
A few years later I saw an article in Surfer about shapers and shaping boards. Before this I thought they magically appeared in the coolest shops in the world. Little did I know that these boards were built by extremely talented craftsmen. I wanted to do what they did, so I found a 2 foot by 6 foot, 2 inch thick piece hard foam insulation at my house. I’m back
Opening up for custom Naka Surfboard orders. I am shaping a limited number of boards for this upcoming season. I will be taking 5 longboard and 10 short board orders. These can be any of my templates or something you and I come up with.
Shortboards: $600
Sanded finish, 3 FCS boxes and fins, extras available at additional costs
Longboards: $800
Sanded finish, single fin box, no fin, extras available a additional costs
50% non refundable deposit is required to secure materials and consumables for your order. Payment for the remaining balance is due upon delivery of the entire quiver ordered.
