We provide resources and support services for vulnerable families and those who care for them.

Providing safe, loving homes for children in need by connecting South Carolina churches and Christian families with community partners while inspiring, encouraging and resourcing the vulnerable and those who care for them. Our Vision is for every South Carolina child to have a safe, loving Christian home.

We are incredibly grateful to the Greenville Kiwanis Club for selecting A Home For Me as one of the recipients of their annual grant this year.

Our Board Chairman, Matthew Haines, recently had the opportunity to attend their grant luncheon and celebrate the impact these funds will have on children and families across South Carolina.

This grant will help support Journey Camp, creating opportunities for kids from hard places to experience connection, encouragement, and belonging in a safe and supportive environment.

We are especially thankful because this isn’t the first time Greenville Kiwanis has invested in our mission. Their consistent support over multiple years has helped us continue serving children and families in meaningful ways.

Thank you, Greenville Kiwanis Club, for believing in the work we do and for helping make Journey Camp possible. 💛

A huge thank you to the grade school students at Mauldin Christian Academy for collecting snacks and fidgets for Journey Camp! 💛

These may seem like small items, but they make a big difference for kids from hard places — helping campers feel welcomed, regulated, cared for, and seen throughout the week.

We love seeing students learn early what it looks like to serve others with compassion and intentionality. Thank you, MCA, for helping us love kids well!

to an incredible act of generosity from the women of Brookwood Church 💛

During their recent Women’s Conference, they collected hygiene products, underwear, sheets, and fast food gift cards for teens connected to DSS — practical items that communicate dignity, comfort, and care during difficult seasons.

At A Home For Me, we talk often about meeting real needs in real ways… and this was exactly that.

To the women of Brookwood: thank you for showing up for vulnerable teens with such intentional kindness. Your generosity made a difference far beyond the conference walls.

What a joy it was to be part of tonight’s Foster/Kinship/Adoption Family Fair hosted by Flourish Adoptions!

We loved getting to welcome families to the A Home For Me booth, help kids create stress balls, and share more about our mission to support children and caregivers from hard places across South Carolina.

Most of all, we loved being part of a room full of organizations, churches, and ministries all working together to encourage and care for foster, kinship, and adoptive families. Nights like this are such a beautiful reminder that no family should walk this journey alone. 💛

Today we honor the mothers, grandmothers, foster moms, kinship caregivers, adoptive moms, mentors, and every woman who has chosen to love with strength and compassion.

We know Mother’s Day can hold both joy and grief, celebration and longing. Wherever this day finds you, we hope you know this: the care you give matters deeply.

Thank you for the countless ways you show up for children and families — often quietly, sacrificially, and without recognition. The impact of your love reaches farther than you know. 💛

Governor Henry McMaster has declared May as Foster Care Awareness Month in South Carolina to highlight the important role that foster parents, kinship caregivers, child-placing agencies, and supporting non-profits play in working together with families to achieve reunification for children and youth in foster care. The collaborative efforts, as part of the larger child and family well-being community, are essential to strengthening families in South Carolina. We were honored to be part of DSS Spring Fling — a day dedicated to bringing together community partners who are all working toward the same goal: supporting children and families served by DSS.

Events like this matter. Because when resources, organizations, and people come together in one place, it becomes easier to meet real needs, build relationships, and remind families that they are not alone.

At A Home For Me, we’re grateful to stand alongside so many others who are committed to showing up — practically and consistently — for kids from hard places.
