Art Simi will be bringing one large yearly event/art show and several smaller art shows to Simi Valley California. We will encourage artistic expression in private and public areas of the city. We are aware that artists are a funky bunch and cannot be easily categorized, but our hope is to embrace all styles and mediums of artistic brilliance.

SBMA’s newest contemporary art exhibition “Scenes from a Marriage: Ed & Nancy Kienholz” is on view now through May 21.
This exhibition celebrates the recent gift of Edward and Nancy Reddin Kienholz’s “Bout Round Eleven.” The sculpture is about a relationship that is past the point of fighting, having gone ten rounds. The woman stares into the distance, while the man is engrossed in television violence. “Scenes from a Marriage" brings together other works by Ed and Nancy that consider marriage, family, and sexuality and reflect on their artistic partnership, which began in 1972 and ended with Ed’s death in 1994. Nancy continued to make art until she died in 2019.

Art Simi has picked a launch date (99% sure). May 5th, 6th and 7th. I am so excited that ArtSimi is on it's way to spread art and culture throughout our beautiful valley. The first weekend of May. Mark your calendars.
