Precision matters, in baseball and for your eyes.
When the front surface of your eye, called the cornea, is evenly round like a baseball, light focuses at the same point in your eye, causing clear vision. When it has two different curvatures like a football, light focuses at two different points, and vision can appear blurry or distorted. That difference in curvature is called astigmatism.
The good news: it’s common and treatable. A comprehensive eye exam can diagnose it and recommend the right treatment.
Ensure your family is at the top of their game by scheduling a comprehensive eye exam today!

Did you know that millions of Americans take GLP-1 medications for chronic conditions or weight loss? That’s about 6% of U.S. adults.
But, according to a new report by the American Optometric Association, these medications can impact your eye health. If you’re taking a GLP-1, a comprehensive eye exam with a doctor of optometry is essential to stay on top of any changes in your vision.
Schedule an eye exam before starting a GLP-1 to establish a baseline of your eye health; this will help us monitor if any changes have occurred from the medication. Have you already started a GLP-1 and haven’t had an eye exam yet? The time to schedule an eye exam is now, especially if you’ve noticed changes in your vision.

We enjoyed a full day of listening to lectures from other doctors about a wide range of topics, including: Dry Eye Disease, Thyroid Eye Disease, retinal diseases, glaucoma, myopia (nearsightedness), and cataracts. We’re excited to implement what we learned into our patient care.
