Austin at work

Here is the latest update from Austin. She’s been in formal training since March and she is learning so much!
We receive her ‘report card’ once a month written by the prisoner that is training her. She’s doing great!!

Austin was transferred to Mule Creek prison to begin her training as a service dog. This is her first ‘report card’ written my her inmate/trainer She is doing great!

Austin was called in for Formal Training this weekend. Which means she will work tirelessly with her trainers to become the best service dog possible she is more than ready! She is smart and cute too. She had a good role model at home with Vino correcting her if I missed something.
Austin is the 4th puppy PPP has sponsored. I would like to give a really BIG SHOUT OUT to all those that contributed to make it possible. Exciting times ahead! And although she won’t be with me I will receive monthly ‘report cards’ regarding her progress and I will post them here for all to see.

My - how time has flown by!! It seems like yesterday when I picked up Austin…. And in a couple weeks she will go on to the next phase of her career and begin learning how to either be a guide dog for a visually impaired person or a service dog for a Vet with PTSD, or helping a family with an autistic child or working as a facility dog in the community. She will be assessed at GDA where professional trainers will make the decision, then set her up for success. She is SO smart so I know whichever career path she chooses she will be awesome.

Another day at the gym. Just chillin after a HIIT workout. I’m going to be so ready for my next adventure!!

Had get together with Austins sibling Ali, and her fellow PPP sponsored pup Olenna and Frankie. Great time at a local Arts & Crafts fair!

Out and about! Went to the gym and the park for some cardio!!

We had a great time with the Simi group socializing and practicing our skills. Much needed and much appreciated! Thanks Diana!!

Someone (who shall remain nameless) needs reading glasses so off to Target we went!

Although Austin has seen the Roomba before she decided today that it requires serious scrutiny! I just have to remind myself she is in her teenage phase!! 🤣.

I’m still vacationing, but this time I’m with Deb Cross and family. Went to the meeting and practiced my paw pad. Nailed it!! Then went to the mall.
