A number of years ago, I was watching an episode of Hawg Quest. In that episode Glen Hall was using a yarn ball he called the “Amato Ball”. It was white, orange and 2 colors of pink, named after fishing legend, Nick Amato.
I started playing around with those colors as a combination for a couple years while tying jigs.
This Salmon Marabou Jig has been been available for a while and is named “AMATO”.

Many of the ideas I get for patterns and colors of jigs come from fellow anglers and customers. This color of paint/jig head is a prime example of such a scenario. Jason reached out and asked if I could come up with a color he had in mind. After some experimenting, I was able to come up with a winner. “Solar Flare” is available on the website as an option when buying bare jig heads.

Finally got around to it.

Born from exposure to radiation (Radioactive) is “MUTANT”.
I have been making this variation upon request for a couple years. Time to add it to the lineup.
