Silver Stream Studio
Lori L. Rodrigues, Artist My art is about exploration. I find more satisfaction in variety and diversity than in niche styles.
As I interpret geological landscapes, cultural ruins, tropical jungles, or the night sky, art is my way of understanding as well as sharing. For each piece, I take a fresh approach. Overall, it is a way to process the journey and discover more about myself in the joy of art.

Timeout In Contrasts
Paintings and mixed media
Carolyn Johnson-Bell's current show is a collection of paintings and mixed-media creations ranging from landscapes to botanicals, always with a focus on texture and contrast. Contrast of light against dark, rough against smooth, life against death. The works examine the physical texture of paper, paint and fiber and how it relates to subjects in a way that creates a sense of wonder. Come explore these intimately familiar places and experience the journey with her.

I found the ink painting I did 20 years ago! It was one loose reference for this part of Bobbie the Wonder Dog’s story I depicted in the mural back then. It’s from the book I illustrated called Wonder Dog by Susan Stelljes. This will help finish repainting this scene. Bobbie was said to have 15 boys all of them bobbies (no tail)

It was this month, 102 years ago that people started hearing about the dog that found his way home to Silverton, Oregon, from Indiana where he was lost on a family trip. Here are parts of my outline for the mural about him - 25+ years ago. Soon, I’ll be repainting much of it. I am looking forward to it!

Silverton Mural Society
🐾While repainting the mural of Bobbie the Wonder Dog recently, here in Silverton, Oregon, a gal parked near me and said that she just happened to move to the town where Bobbie was lost in 1923 - Wolcott, Indiana. She told me that he was in a mural there too! She sent me these pictures of it when she got home! Thank you, Samantha!💕
