Two months ago I was doing this. Again…

still getting used to the Sony mirrorless A7R IV camera body and it will take a while longer till it feels natural in my hands. I like it so far but do see some features missing like GPS locater that I would really like. I hope I can find an accessory to provide that too.

I had to crop a lot for this image and brighten the shadows because the sky was in deep clouds - you can see the noise at 100%

About a mile (as the eagle flies) from my home, the eagles and great blue herons are gathering for the midshipman fish spanning season. I photographed this one with my Sony Alpha 7R IV mirrorless camera body with Canon L 500mm lens, Canon 2X teleconverter, and Canon/Sony lens converter. It was an 'eagle dot' but at 61megapixels, severe cropping still gives almost acceptable detail. This bird was about a quarter mile away.
