Reddemeade DOES NOT HAVE STRANGLES! We sent an email to our own students a few weeks ago that WOODLAND has one of their barns shut down for Strangles and to avoid their barns for the time being, yet somehow the area community seems to think the outbreak is at Reddemeade. These allegations are completely unfounded! We have ZERO staff in common with Woodland and we have followed strict quarantine procedures for over 15 years.

Our students are having a hard enough time with our impending closure, PLEASE don't restrict them from finding a new barn home based on unsubstantiated rumors.

YOUR HIGHER HORSEMAN

A couple of months ago, I had the privilege of spending some time watching Jose Alejos train. I witnessed him come off a couple of times (quite dramatically) and then continue riding a series of challenging horses with cool confidence. Since I am infinitely nosey and have a passionate interest in helping riders break through mental blocks, I jumped on the chance to ask him about how he handles fear. I am not sure what I was expecting but I recognized all of us in his answer.

He said, "Why do we ride? We ride because we love beauty. Instead of being afraid, I remember the beauty."

I felt the resonance of all the conversations I've had over the years with riders about their passion for horses; about the connection, the partnership and the simple presence that lives at the heart of why horses matter so much to humans. These conversations are meant to bring this beauty to the realm of the pre-frontal cortex... so that Beauty may step in and quietly move Fear out of the way.

Jose later summed up our conversation in an email:

"To ride from within you have to open up your awareness and let The Master Horseman come down to you and guide you (you can call Him God, Light, Source, Christ, Jehova, Abba...).. Be a tool of this love and just allow your inner self to do what your heart feels; and recognize this as an awesome feel on a Higher consciousness level of your riding!

Fear is the antagonism of love, so how in the hell do you expect to ride beautifully and inspired if you are scared?

So breathe in deep and ask yourself how much you love riding? That amount of love will reduce the ego and fear to the minimum expression...!! That amount of love will shine up the sign for the Master Horseman to come down and manifest through your awareness!!!

The reins are important tools to change the molecular structure on a horse by sending love with the cues..

The horse is your canvas, your aids are color, your style of riding is the brush and the movement is your final painting...!!
You want to always have light in your movements... I mean: be crystal clear with your desire, suggestions and orders , so the magic creature stays fearless and always expressing...

Think of a movement, express your will to your mount and create..
leave that in the past and do it again learning from that past...
So once you think with intention and will power, it's already there in the cosmos.... But you have to believe to be rewarded..."
