As the month of February comes to an end, the CGC family reflected on a powerful service centered on the theme of love.
Reminding members of what the scriptures say about love, as a divine command from God, not just about feelings and emotions.
The service challenged everyone to move beyond words and to demonstrate intentional love in daily actions, relationships, and service, reflecting the heart of God in every area of life.
John 13:34-35
34. I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another.
35. By this, everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.

Dear CGC Family,

As we prepare for the weekend, we want to make sure everyone is informed and protected. A *major winter storm is forecast* to impact the entire DMV.

*Because your safety is our priority, CGC will be closed for in-person service on Sunday, January 25th.*
*We will gather virtually via Zoom for our Sunday service so we can still worship together while keeping everyone safe and warm at home.*

• Avoid driving unless absolutely necessary; roads may become icy very quickly.
• Charge your devices ahead of time in case of power outages.
• Keep extra blankets, warm clothing, and flashlights nearby.
• Check on family, neighbors, and elderly loved ones to ensure they are safe and have what they need.
• Use space heaters safely—keep them away from curtains, bedding, and children.
• If you must go outside, dress in layers and watch for icy walkways.
