From one of our Moms: Hi, I am a mom in silver spring and I have a middle school boy that is not your typical guy. I'm looking to put together a social opportunity for middle school boys that have a hard time meeting peers and socializing. These fellows would fit in if they maybe don't go to their neighborhood school or are home schooled, Maybe they have anxiety about meeting new people because they are not like a typical middle school boy. Maybe they have social or learning challenges that might make them a good candidate for a group like this. This would be a non theraputic weekly get together like bowling or swimming or skyzone that would be fun and very loose, attended by parents as well. My goal is to make some friends that are closer than Baltimore where my son goes to school. I'm pretty sure that there are other boys out there that would like to meet some potential friends with similar interests at their level.
