Cinderella Cares was founded in 2011 by the children and spouse of Cinderella Salmon to honor her life and hard fought battle against cancer. Cinderella Cares main focus will be to raise awareness and support for cutting edge research and early diagnosis for the fight against lung cancer. We are eagerly happy to work with any organization that fit the requirements to help organize and plan fundraisers utilizing our strength in raising funds through the arts.

Comedy for Cure April 2026 DrSonia Salmon-Gayle
For the past three days, Cinderella Cares joined survivors, caregivers, and fellow advocates alongside GO2 for Lung Cancer—an organization that confronts lung cancer on every front, every day, for everyone.
It was truly a labor of love as my brother, Eglon Daley, and our aunt, Mercedes Hughes, stood in the gap to make a difference on behalf of our loved ones who lost their lives to lung cancer.
We advocated so that other families may have hope, access to research, and a future where more lives are saved.
This work is personal. This work is purposeful. And this work continues.

At the , I am urging lawmakers to support the highest possible federal medical research funding levels for: National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Cancer Institute (NCI), Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Cancer Programs, and Cancer Registries. Together, we can create a future with more survivors. 🩵

Montgomery County, MD, Cinderella Cares is proud to announce that preparations are underway for the next Comedy For Cure, scheduled for April 25, 2026. We are currently seeking a venue in the Montgomery County area with a stage, seating capacity of 80 to 150 guests, and a full bar and menu to host this exciting evening of laughter and hope.
Comedy For Cure has become a signature event for Cinderella Cares, combining top-tier comedic talent with a mission to raise awareness and support in the fight against cancer. Past shows have featured packed audiences, unforgettable performances, and a vibrant atmosphere where guests enjoyed food, drinks, and community connection.
