Endorsement Alert!!
I am deeply honored to have the endorsement and continued support of Dr. Maya Rockeymoore Cummings, former Chair of the Maryland Democratic Party and widow of the late, great Congressman Elijah Cummings — our Maryland giant.
Maya has been a friend and sister for many years. I am proud of all that she continues to do and accomplish in her own right as a leader, policy expert, and advocate.
Her support means so much to me because it is rooted in years of friendship, sisterhood, and shared commitment to public service.
Thank you, Maya, for your continued support of me and this campaign. You have been an inspiration.

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication will never be forgotten.
As we spend time with loved ones and enjoy the freedoms we hold dear, let us also reflect on those who gave everything to protect them.
We salute you. We thank you.

Huge Endorsement Alert!!
I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement of Former Council President Nancy Navarro.
I have deep admiration for Nancy and all that she brought to Montgomery County — from the transformational investment and development in the Wheaton area, to the County’s landmark Racial Equity and Social Justice legislation she has been a transformational leader.
As the first Latina elected to the Montgomery County Council and later the first Latina Council President, she helped open doors and reshape what leadership in our county looks like.
Nancy has always understood that government must work for all communities — especially those too often overlooked.
I am grateful for her support and proud to stand with leaders who believe in equity, opportunity, dignity, and accessible government for every resident in Montgomery County.
Let’s keep building together.
Mail-in ballots are arriving this week, and your support will help us continue reaching voters across the county before they cast their ballots. Join our growing coalition.

Racism and xenophobia have no place in Maryland. The recent comments targeting Delegate Chao Wu were offensive and unacceptable. Mocking someone’s accent or questioning their belonging because of who they are is wrong.
I stand with Delegate Wu and against all forms of hate and discrimination.
Below is my statement.

Wednesday started with standing alongside educators in Rockville fighting to ensure our schools are fully funded, and ended with a youth-led political event where young people asked candidates tough and thoughtful questions about the future they will inherit.
They may not all be old enough to vote yet, but they are our future.
It was a day centered on our children—fighting for the resources they deserve and uplifting the educators who show up every single day for them, for their dreams, and for the future of Montgomery County.
What happened at Greenwood Elementary School in Brookeville is completely unacceptable.
Antisemitic graffiti has no place in our community — especially at an elementary school, where children should feel safe and protected.
My heart is with the students, families, and staff impacted by this hateful act.

ENDORSEMENT ALERT
Honored to have the support of Councilmember Will Jawando.
Will is a brother and a friend. Serving as his Senior Legislative Aide in his County Council office during his first term showed me what it truly means to center community as an elected official. We brought stakeholders to the table, centered those impacted, and turned that into meaningful legislation.
With your support, we can build a government that centers you—with Will Jawando as our next County Executive and me on the Council.
We are building a strong coalition that reflects the full diversity of Montgomery County. Join us.
If you’ve been waiting to contribute or volunteer, now is the time. Mail-in ballots start arriving next week—and your support will help us reach voters before they cast their vote.
Let’s move Montgomery County forward—together.

🤝🏾 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 🤝🏾
Dr. King didn’t just dream. He demanded that America do better.
He spoke truth to power.
He called injustice by its name.
He believed ordinary people, organized and courageous, could bend the arc of history.
Today is not about quotes or comfort.
It’s about commitment.
