Monograms don’t have to be just for oysters! I love how my personal cipher turned out on the draft cover turned out for my lock.

We had a bride reach out see if we could make a cake topper for her wedding cake. Generally, we use vintage book plates for our monograms but when what we have isn’t exactly what the bride wants, we send them to the talented artists to create a monogram just for them. I can’t wait to see these on her cake come a October!

I don’t think it gets more Maryland than this. The perfect crab cake sandwich from sitting on the Magothy River watching sailboats.

𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞'𝐬 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐄𝐲𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐞:
2 ounces pineapple juice
1 ounce Maryland Rye whiskey (McClintock Bootjack Rye)
1 ounce white rum
1 ounce orange juice
1/2 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 ounce rich simple syrup*
1 teaspoon orange liqueur
1/2 ounce black rum, to float.
Add all ingredients except for black rum to our Preakness Shaker. Fill a Collins or other tall glass with crushed ice. Add the mixed drink to the glass with ice. Top with the float of black rum. Garnish as desired and serve with a straw.*To make rich simple syrup, combine two parts sugar and one part water in a pot. Set heat to medium-low and stir until sugar dissolves. Chill before using.
