Six years ago, this was just an idea.

A vision shared by 12 lifelong friends who believed our community deserved a space to celebrate Black entrepreneurship, build relationships, and invest in one another.

This past weekend, that vision came to life once again.

People from all over filled Veterans Plaza, not just to attend an event, but to support dreams.

Every purchase made at a vendor's booth was an investment in someone's vision.

Every conversation sparked a new relationship.

Every hug, handshake, laugh, and smile reminded us that community is still one of our greatest assets.

We watched children dance while parents discovered new businesses. We saw entrepreneurs connect with future customers and collaborators. We saw first-time vendors standing beside returning businesses that have grown with us year after year.

This is why we do it.

Not because it's easy.
Not because it's expected.
But because we believe that when a community intentionally supports one another, everyone has an opportunity to win.

To every performer who shared their gift...
And to every single person who came out to celebrate with us...

Today, we made it official on Living Local DMV.

The Men of EIG had the opportunity to sit down with Corinna Delgado on Living Local DMV to share the story behind the 6th Annual Juneteenth Black Business Expo.

What began as a vision among a group of lifelong friends has grown into one of the DMV's premier celebrations of Black entrepreneurship, community, culture, and economic empowerment.

This Sunday, Veterans Plaza becomes more than an event, it becomes the cookout. The family reunion. The place where entrepreneurs, families, food lovers, and community builders come together to support over 50 Black-owned businesses, enjoy incredible food, connect with amazing people, and celebrate the spirit of Juneteenth.
