A lot going on in the Ashley's house.

1 of 4 projects is our our #beautifulbeige bathroom in Shady Grove which is coming along nicely.

Always a pleasure when Mr. Leo arrives to install the beautiful quartz countertop to our gorgeous custom made cabinets.

These homeowners are just loving how their selections and colors are coming together.

Now to get that shower decked out! Stay tuned.

Not all spaces need a total redesign or major construction.
💙Some just need a little refresh.💙

Take this bathroom for instance.
This master bathroom was updated about 20 years ago and was in pristine condition. The craftsmanship was so good, it looked like it was just remodeled.

Guess what?? WE DID IT!!

That's right, we remodeled this master bathroom 20 years ago and the homeowners were so happy with the first remodel, they called on us to give it an update and a new beach house vibe.

Y'all....we were like proud parents walking in this bathroom. It DID look just like the day we finished the remodel. Everything was super clean and in perfect condition.

What was on their wish list this time:

🌞Beach vibes please.
🌞Keep it light and bright.
🌞Keep the mirrors.
🌞Keep the cabinets.
🌞Can we add a touch of color but not too much?

Absolutely we can!

Since the homeowners wanted everything light, we showed them a very light wood look tile for the bathroom floor to give the room a cozy beach feel and still remain light. They gave it a thumbs up!

We were happy to know we could reuse the glass panel and door with minor modifications by our friends at Glass Services, LLC

We added a classic carrara look porcelain tile in the shower but added a touch of blue in the herringbone mosaic and in the sliced pebble shower floor.

The countertops also have a touch of blue and we added the mosaic to the backsplash.

A light, calming blue was painted on the walls.
The cabinets, doors, moldings all got a paint refresh and we added new sconces over the sinks and new lighting in the commode area.

Easy-peasy, nice and breezy!
Beach house master bathroom vibe accomplished and ready for the next 20 years.

Does your kitchen or bathroom need a little refresh? What's on your wish list?

High Five to our fabulous trades, suppliers and tile artists.

Remember that 1960s kitchen we posted a few days ago?
🤩Hold on to your hats, we got phase 2 up for your viewing pleasure.🤩
The homeowners desperately wanted their master bathroom updated as well as creating his and her closet spaces. The existing layout just wasn't giving them the space they desired so they called us to come up with a new floorplan for the master bathroom and a closet addition.

The existing bathroom layout gave us a lot of opportunity to play with. Because we were adding two new closets, we could take full advantage of the existing closet space, knock down all the interior walls and create a cool design.

What was on the wish list for the bathroom you ask?

♦️HIs and her sink area.

♦️Makeup area with custom drawers to house hair accessories. Oh, and add an outlet in the drawer so we don't have to keep unplugging it.

♦️Linen storage. Add an outlet for his shaver to live when not being used.

♦️Rustic wood, black accents.

♦️Big walk in shower with stone accents.

After what seemed to be hours staring at the existing floorplan, we came up with a new layout that the homeowners loved and added two 8'x 8' closets and a hallway with a window at the end.
We really wanted this to be a unique special space for our clients, so we brought up the idea of having cedar beams and a column to frame the shower. They loved the idea.

So much more room and a beautiful rustic design was given the seal of approval and DEMO day began on the existing interior layout as well as the exterior where the new closet addition will be constructed.

Whenever we add on to a existing home, we always want that addition to look like it was built with the home and not an after thought.
When we are deep in design work, our renderings give us and our clients a great visual representation of what the project will look like, and even though we get a sneak peek, the final project always blows us away.

This project was no exception. It was FABULOUS!

This was phase 2 of 3 for this repeat client and they couldn't be happier.

Thank you Lord, for the gifts we've been given, the talented team we have, the beautiful homeowners we meet and for allowing us to wake up everyday to work our passions. Amen.

How about a little stroll down memory lane on this gorgeous Thursday morning?

This 1960s home was the hub of every holiday and family gathering. Our clients purchased the home after the passing of the first and original owners, their parents. This was a bittersweet moment in time.
Now living in the home they enjoyed growing up in, they wanted to give it a complete update to accommodate the much larger family gatherings and create new memories.

We were honored they contacted us to make this happen.

What was on the wish list:

🔨Remove the spindles and half walls dividing the dining area and the living room.
🔨Remove the upper cabinets over the peninsula.
🔨Create a bigger, better design and add an island.
🔨Give it a rustic vibe.
🔨Calm, neutral tones.

The half walls and spindles wall was load bearing, so constructing a temporary support while the beam was installed was top on the list.
With that done, we went to work on the new design layout.

Warmth was added with wood look tile in a rustic style, maple cabinets with a warm stain were installed on all the lower areas and the island.

The client did not want white cabinets and decided on Sherwin-Williams Threshold Taupe. Greek Villa on the walls to keep it light and allow the warmth of the cabinets and floor POP.

Rustic beams were added to frame the new opening and reclaimed wood added to the bottom of the stucco venthood.

The refrigerator side now has plenty of pantry storage, microwave cabinet with a lower pull out drawer to sit hot items on to cool. An electrical outlet was added above the refrigerator to house a small television to enjoy.

And how about those brick look tiles on the backsplash. We did a herringbone over the cooktop to breakup the horizontal brick lines and added black vintage lighting.

While we were remodeling the kitchen, we also gave the very orange bathroom an update as well. We continued the rustic look in that space, but made it a half bath with storage.

With this new layout, the family can move around the island and use it as a buffet area, sitting area and walk comfortably through the kitchen, dining and living area.
They now have a new design and are ready to create a lifetime of memories in their updated family home.

Our first episode video is LIVE!!🤩

We are SO excited to share something very special with you.
You may remember, before the world changed a few years ago, we surprised a special family with a bathroom makeover.
Well, guess what? The video is HERE!

This is the first episode in our series called Road to Reno.

A recap of the project:

Meet the Law family!
A friend once said, this family is an inspiration to so many people in our community. They are shining examples of doing the right thing, even when it's uncomfortable. They put others waaaaay before themselves. They spread love, not hate, inclusion not separation. They love and love hard.

Bubba and Amanda Law are Bossier City natives and began their life together as a blended family of 6. Over 13 years ago, they made the decision to begin fostering children, and become Volunteers for Volunteers for Youth Justice

During these years, they have opened their home and hearts to many children, freely giving their love and support while raising their own children, who lovingly welcomed each child.

When twin littles came into their world and up for adoption, the Laws knew immediately what they wanted to do, and these babies became a Law.

The same feelings came upon them when another little boy blessed their home, and years later, a precious little girl came into their lives and up for adoption, bringing the Law family total to 10.

When we learned that one of their two bathrooms was on the fritz, we contacted our friends, suppliers, and trades to see if we could help make their lives a bit more convenient. I can attest that when you have many children in your midst, especially embracing children with medical conditions, a bathroom remodel is low, low, low on the priority list.

It was our hope that we not only give this family one less thing to worry about (a surprise bathroom repair and remodel) but to also capture their story, shine a light on the need in our community and learn how we can all make a difference in foster child's life.

Thank you, Amanda and Dana Phillips for your insight on fostering, for opening your hearts and homes to the children in our area, and giving them a safe place to land while in transition.

Thank you, Christi Bradley Robinson of Faith and Fostering, and Tyler Spears of Volunteers for Youth Justice CASA for fighting for the safety and well-being of these children and young adults.
