Some pics of Jazz Band 1 from the annual Arts Assembly at SC (compliments of Ms. Phillips). The jazz band got things off to a swingin’ start and our All-State musicians were recognized. 💚🎶💛

Jazz Band 1 competed at the annual jazz festival at Newport HS in Bellevue on Saturday. They earned a spot in the finals competition based on their scores from prelims. Congratulations, Scots! 💚🎶💛

Congratulations to all of our SC musicians who performed today at the annual SKMEA solo & ensemble festival! Way to rep the green and gold!
Kudos to our music students who placed! Special shoutouts to Nate (clarinet solo winner), Catherine (harp solo winner), and Chase/Calvin/William (small string ensemble winner) who have all earned a trip to the WMEA state contest in April!

Shoreline Big Band Dance

The Shoreline Big Band Dance is a community event featuring live music from jazz programs in the Shoreline Schools and dance instruction. This family-friendly event runs from 6:00pm-10:00pm in the Shorewood Commons. Don't know how to swing dance? Two left feet? Or maybe you need some review? The night begins with a group swing dance lesson from a professional instructor!

Live music kicks off at 7:00 and showcases the jazz programs in Shoreline: Kellogg MS, Einstein MS, Shorecrest HS, and Shorewood HS. Desserts and refreshments will be available. Join us for an evening of great music, dancing, food, and support of music in our local schools!

$15 for adults
$10 for students/seniors

Right before the winter vacation, the choir students were busy sharing music.
On Thursday the vocalists from SC and KMS (lead by Ms. Rengstorf and Mr. Hendrix) hit the road and visited Ridgecrest, Brookside, and LFP elementary schools, spreading lots of good choir vibes!
On Friday, the SC choir students spread some good cheer as they wandered the school caroling during 6th period. 💚🎶💛
