Spent some time out in the shop today. Got a 30/06 twist pen with deer antler done.

Got out in the shop today and made 2 new pens. These are rollerballs that use a .50 cal shell as the case. When it's in, looks like a .50 cal bullet. Just pop it out and it's a fantastic pen that writes smooth. One is deer antler, the other is an acrylic mix.

Just finished this one. I don't work with this material often as it's expensive and likes to explode while turning it. It is called "fordite" and is basically layers of automotive paint scraped up off the paint booth floor. This one had a mishap that i was able to salvage, thankfully!

Just completed a new cigar pen. While visiting Jeremy D. Bookout in TX, I met a brand ambassador for Casa De Suenos ci**rs. He requested a pen for his brand. The pen components are gold Apollo closed end. The main body is walnut burl and the ash section is buckeye burl. Really pleased with how this one turned out!

A few "firsts" for me in the shop today. My first Artemis pen, and my first attempt at doing a cigar replica. The wood is black walnut and the "ash" was just a cutoff I had laying around. It turned out ok, room for improvement though. Had fun with it though! First pics are using a filter, the last are natural.

Finished a couple new closed end pens. The first is a material called fordite. It is the paint that's left over in the booth after cars are painted. Very tough to work with! The other is buckeye burl wood. Both pens are Apollo closed end with Schmidt ink.
