Meet our Employee of the Month, Tonya!

"I am married to Andre and between us we have 6 kids and 2 grandsons. Just when we thought we were going to be empty nesters this year, God had other plans and surprised us with our baby girl Tatum! We went from our baby of the family being a senior in high school to a newborn! She’s everything we never knew we needed!

In our free time we enjoy sporting events, riding four wheelers and spending time with family.

I earned my nursing degree from Grayson College, and this year marks my 16th year in the nursing profession. Over the course of my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, home health, and hospice care. Each experience has enriched my journey and deepened my commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

I have been with Changing Seasons for 11.5 years and am currently serving as the DON.

Nursing has been the most rewarding career I could have chosen. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives every day. I live by Maya Angelou’s words: “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” This quote guides my approach to care and reminds me of the lasting impact kindness and empathy can have."
