Sherman Middle School wants to thank Nautilus Family Fitness for generously donating bike locks to our bike riding students.
Mr. Lewis identified that bike riding students at SMS did not have locks to keep their bikes safe while they were at school and brought that need to our Community in Schools site coordinator. The partnerships between our staff, CIS and our community leaders, like Nautilus Family Fitness, help us remove barriers to student success. Go Bearcats!!!

KTEN News visited Sherman Middle School today to interview a few amazing faculty members regarding how they handled a student-athlete-related incident that required them to rely on their SISD district and personal training. The news story will run on Thursday, Sept 10, at 6, 9, and 10 pm.

⚖️🐾 Learning About the Law Straight From the Experts! 👮♀️🐕
Our Principles of Law classes have had some pretty special visitors lately, and our students have been LOVING it!
First up was the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, who brought along a familiar face… McGruff the Crime Dog! 🐕🕵️♂️ McGruff reminded our students that he’s always ready to “Take a Bite Out of Crime!”
Then came a visit from the Sherman Police Department K-9 Unit! 🐕🦺👮♂️ Our students got an up-close look at how these highly trained K-9s use their incredible sense of smell to locate illegal substances and other items. They also learned about how K-9s can be trained to assist officers in safely apprehending a suspect when necessary.
What an incredible opportunity for our students to see law enforcement in action and connect what they’re learning in the classroom to real-world careers!
A HUGE thank you to both agencies for taking the time to pour into our students and give them experiences they won’t forget! ❤️🖤
