M&K Family Goat Ranch

Been working on the website. Adding family trees, to give a quick visual. I've done the bucks, doeling's and yearlings. It's neat looking into their family trees and on color, seeing where it comes down from. Especially on Chaser. Check out the rest on the website.

The Dairy Capital Classic in Sulphur Springs TX. We took two dry yearlings.

Three ring show:
*Ring 1- (14 entries) Both girls acted like crazy buttheads. Peaches pretended to be a tornado & Raven pretended to be a ballerina. Should of been given points for their talents.
Peaches 13th & Raven 14th.
*Ring 2 - (15 entries) After Ring 1 and their behavior. We were given very good pointers. Changed our their collars to chain type collars. After Ring 1 Tanner was over it. So, another FFA student asked to show Raven.
Raven- placed 14th
Peaches - placed 10th
* Ring 3- (15 entries) The girls finally decided walking in a circle isn't that bad. Raven's breeder stepped in to show her.
Raven - placed 9th
Peaches- placed 8th
This show was our first real competition. We showed against some well known herds. Where the girls placed in ring 3 is where I feel is true to how they would of done. If they walked better in ring 1 & 2. As a learning showman, I learned so much today. In the end, we had a lot fun 😁

Show haircuts done. We're only taking two dry yearlings. Clipping Peaches, man she is such an angel. Now, Raven on the other hand. 🤪

Getting excited but also nervous.

I guess Willow was a little hot.

Yesterday I posted 3 out of the 5 keeper doeling's. So, here's the last 2. These girls are both sired by:
*Merrytale CS Heart's Royal Jack*
Also, looking forward to getting these girls into the show ring this fall.

I just love all the Rusty daughters we got this year. Last year he was stingy with girls. I can't wait until I can get these three into the show ring. This coming fall.

Willow is starting to fit in with goats. She's been here for 4.5 weeks. A few goats haven't been nice and a few were scared of her. But all has seemed to settle down. It started to rain and Willow went into the barn with the goats. Instead of her dog house. I went to check on everyone. They were all just hanging out. 💓
