Helping people recover from mental health issues, substance abuse and gambling.

Today, we recognize Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and progress.

Juneteenth serves as a reminder of the importance of equality, opportunity, and the ongoing work of building stronger, more inclusive communities where every person is treated with dignity and respect.

At Connecticut Renaissance, we honor the history, contributions, and strength of Black Americans, and we remain committed to supporting individuals and families as they work toward recovery, wellness, and a brighter future.

💙 Freedom. Hope. Opportunity.

Sometimes gambling stops being entertainment and starts becoming a struggle.

What may begin as a game, a bet, or a chance to win can lead to stress, financial hardship, and emotional pain.

If gambling is affecting your life or the life of someone you care about, know that you’re not alone. Help is available, and recovery is possible.

📞 If you have a problem with gambling, please call us at 203-336-5225. We’re here for you.

💙 This week is National Men’s Health Week.

Mental health is an important part of overall health, yet many men continue to face stigma when it comes to talking about their struggles or seeking support.

During National Men’s Health Week, let’s encourage open conversations, support one another, and remind the men in our lives that asking for help is a sign of strength.

Mental health is health.

💙 At Connecticut Renaissance, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and respected.

During Pride Month, we recognize the importance of creating spaces where individuals can seek help, build connections, and be their authentic selves without fear of judgment.

Our commitment remains the same every day of the year: providing compassionate care and support for all who walk through our doors.

Everyone deserves a safe place to heal, grow, and reclaim their life.

Mental health challenges affect millions of men each year, yet many continue to struggle in silence because of stigma, fear of judgment, or the belief that they need to handle everything on their own.

Seeking help is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of strength.

This month, let’s encourage honest conversations, support one another, and remind the men in our lives that they do not have to face mental health challenges alone.

🎉 Kicking off this Friday with an Employee Spotlight! 🎉

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Kelly O'Keefe 🌟

Meet Kelly, our dedicated Clinical Auditor/Trainer here at Connecticut Renaissance!

This coming July marks 7 years with CTR for Kelly. In her role, she helps ensure the quality and integrity of our clinical services by monitoring documentation, compliance, and adherence to regulatory standards across our clinical programs. She also plays a key role in staff development, providing training for new employees and ongoing education to support our clinical teams.

💬 Proudest Moment at CTR:“Seeing all of our clinical programs meet and receive certification for the 1115 Waiver and watching them continue to excel on audits. Clinical and administrative staff worked tirelessly to adapt documentation and workflows to meet new standards, and it was rewarding to see that hard work pay off.”

💬 What She Enjoys Most:“The atmosphere and the care CTR shows its employees. There’s a great balance between fun and hard work, and I’ve always been treated as a person first and an employee second.”

When she's not at work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family, including her energetic 3-year-old son, Charlie, and her husband of 11 years. She also loves exploring new restaurants and food trucks, attending sporting events throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York, and is excited to welcome a baby girl to the family this July! 🩷

Thank you, Kelly, for your dedication, leadership, and commitment to supporting both our staff and clients. We are grateful for all that you do! 🙌
