False Spring got us laid out like……..☀️☀️☀️

Everyone is enjoying round two of the winter blast! This is not very common in NC. Especially not two weekends in a row.

They are definitely enjoying this more than me!

Sometimes farm life is hard, and today was one of those days. Our final calf of the season didn’t make it. This was the first time we’ve lost a calf. Ariel wasn’t progressing normally this morning so we called in back up. Her little heifer calf was breech and needed help. I’m so thankful for our wonderful vet team that came out to help. Ariel is going to be fine, and we will wait for her next arrival next year. I just hate she didn’t get to raise this solid red calf on her own. I’m gonna go cry some more now and hug this sweet momma.

Everyone is happy and healthy after their first snow flurries and hard freeze last night! Oh, did I forget to mention we had another new arrival? Look closely 🥰

I was gone for three hours today. Three hours! And guess when the most perfectly belted heifer decided to pop out! Welcome to the world little girl!
