Cooling Rack Confections

So apparently Pokémon cards are valuable enough that collectors are showing up at Walmart at 6 AM for restocks.

My son: “I’m going to get cards.”

Me: “At SIX IN THE MORNING?!”

Him: “You don’t understand.”

He’s right. I absolutely do not.

This set hit me in the feels. Around our house the glitter has faded from dress-up shoes, the bedtime stories have changed to chapter books, and the little voice saying ‘ooh là là!’ isn’t quite so little anymore. I’d go back for just one more Fancy Nancy night if I could.

Pool days
Popsicles
Extra s’mores
Barefoot adventures
Cousins who are built in best friends
Late nights and mornings that start way too early

I’m still here! I’m still baking! But I’m also working outside the kitchen, raising two kids, entertaining my husband with my salty antics, and trying to keep my sanity through it all. That said, I’m still making cookies, too!

School is out and we’re daydreaming about pastel beach towns, palm trees, sweet tea on the porch, and all the summer adventures ahead.
The weather might still be catching up, but our minds are fully in vacation mode over here.
