We’re halfway through the year, and your support is still making a real difference. Every pantry box, bag of bakery items, and donation helps meet needs right here in the Kansas City area.

That support helps keep food on shelves and covers things like prescriptions, gasoline, utilities, and other everyday needs that can hit hard.

We’ll be sharing more mid-year numbers soon, but for now, thank you for helping us keep showing up for our neighbors.

Last call for the Golf Classic! If you’ve been meaning to sign up, now’s the time. We’ll be at Falcon Lakes Golf Course on Wednesday, June 24, with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.

The cost is $175 per player, and every registration helps support local families through the work we do all year.

We have been made aware that an individual may be attempting to impersonate Old Shawnee Days to sell fraudulent vendor and food truck spaces for the 2026 festival.

Please be advised that ALL official Old Shawnee Days vendor and food truck spaces are SOLD OUT for 2026. We are not accepting additional vendors or food trucks, and no legitimate vendor spaces are currently available for purchase.

If anyone contacts you claiming to have vendor or food truck spaces available for Old Shawnee Days and requests payment, please do not send money and contact us directly to verify the information.

We have received reports involving an individual using the name "Elizabeth Franklin" who may be representing herself as affiliated with Old Shawnee Days. This person is not associated with our event.

All official Old Shawnee Days communications come directly from our event staff through official Old Shawnee Days channels.

Please help us protect our vendors and community by sharing this post.

We’re growing so we can serve better. Our conversion project, running May 1 through August 1, will help us add storage and create more room to support the work happening here every day. It may look a little different around our building for a while, but the reason is simple: better space helps us care for more people better.

Volunteers keep this place moving, and we’re always thankful for people who want to help. If you’re over 16, part of a small group, or need court-assigned community service, there may be a place for you here.

Volunteer help can include greeting guests, cashier support, bakery pickup, collecting aluminum, merchandising, handyman work, janitorial work, or helping with fundraisers.

The 2026 Shawnee Tomorrow class had an AMAZING day collecting food for Shawnee Community Services, but they're not done yet. Now through Sunday, May 17th, you can purchase $5 and $10 bags full of canned food at Hy-Vee Shawnee that this year's class will deliver to Shawnee Community Services.
