All finished up and home from the Great Lenexa Barbeque Battle. We decided to jump in to all 7 categories which was way to much but worth it and had a blast. Congratulations to Keith Love 2 Q on his GC and to Pirates of Bar B Que Bay on their RGC. We ended up 8th overall out of a field of 164 teams. Thanks pops for being my sous chef.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and your families. Little cold out but never to cold to smoke. Got those turkeys rollin this morning with that Royal Oak Charcoal after the two day brine hit with some Jdqbbq sweet rub and some of the Fergolicious BBQ BBQ American pie. Finished with a bbq glaze was wonderful.

Had an amazing weekend at Smoke On The Trails in Gardner this weekend. Total last minute deal that thanks to Greg at American Fire BBQ for the opportunity. Ended up with three calls over all.

8th in Smart Chicken finally cracked top 10
6th in ribs Prairie Fresh
37th in pork OUCH. something had to be off.
7th in brisket Snake River Farms

Placed 15th overall. Wish I had a better pork box to crack a top or better call but I’ll take it.
