One great thing about living in the Midwest is that we truly get to experience all four seasons! But, with the four seasons, Kansas City homeowners will sometimes notice foundation problems that happen as a result of the weather.

Each of the four seasons impacts your foundation in a different way. For example, in our current season (summer), the soil begins to dry and contract. As clay pulls away from your foundation, it leaves behind gaps, removing the vertical or lateral support that soil normally provides. This can cause parts of your foundation to settle unevenly, which can eventually lead to cracks. These seasonal issues can really create issues for homeowners over time.

Never fear- we are here to help! Our most recent blog post goes through the impact that each season has on your home's foundation and gives strategies and ideas to help mitigate the potential damage. For example, in summer (and year-round), homeowners will want to maintain consistent soil moisture around their foundation.

If we can help assess your home's foundation issues in any way, give us a call- (913) 298-3600! We are here to partner with you to protect your most valuable asset- your home!
