At HEART, we seek to transform communities by demonstrating God's love by bridging the gap between surplus and need, building relationships with other organizations to fill both spiritual and physical needs. Through its network of dedicated volunteers and corporate partnerships HEART currently has the opportunity to bless families and communities (locally and nationally) by:

Greet and assist volunteers, nonprofit partners, and guests at the HEART Distribution Center by helping with check-in and answering questions. Support additional projects during slower times. Training is provided.

These are heavy days for our communities. Many of our neighbors are feeling afraid, uncertain, and burdened, and our hearts are with them.
We believe God calls us to love our neighbors and care for one another in times of crisis. Right now, that means helping meet basic needs for individuals and families who feel safest staying at home, working alongside our partner organizations.
We are praying for peace, protection, and comfort across our city, and we remain committed to showing up with love, dignity, and practical care.

The season of giving truly shined brightly today! We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible gift from Savage Hy-Vee and their generous customers.

Is it Christmas in December... or every day?
At the HEART warehouse, it feels like Christmas morning all year round. Thanks to our incredible volunteers and donors, we’ve already distributed 63,000 goods to over 2,800 people in 2025!
